As we discover more exoplanets, and learn just how expansive our universe is, how do we situate ourselves in the cosmos? Are we insignificant, or are we special?

Rabbi Geoff Mitelman is exploring precisely these sorts of questions. He’s the Founding Director of Sinai and Synapses, an organization that bridges the scientific and religious worlds, offering a worldview that is scientifically grounded and spiritually upli. His work is simultaneously being incubated at CLAL - the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership. He is an internationally sought-out teacher and scholar, and a prolific writer on themes of science and Judaism. Geoff was a member of the first cohort of the Rabbis Without Borders fellowship, Balfour Brickner Rabbinic Fellow, a congregational rabbi, a graduate of Princeton University, and a contestant on Jeopardy! in March 2016.
